WONTUMI EXIM BANK CASE: Court Adjourns Hearing as Plea Talks Continue

The High Court in Accra has adjourned the EXIM Bank case involving Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, to July 27 to allow ongoing plea negotiations between the prosecution and the defence to continue.
The adjournment followed an appearance by both parties, who informed the court that discussions were still ongoing.
Chairman Wontumi has been charged over allegations that he obtained a GH¢14 million loan under false pretences for a farming project. The prosecution has also alleged that the transactions resulted in a financial loss of more than GH¢30 million to EXIM Bank.
