TEMA PORT BOOST: Railway Authority Signs Deal to Move 300 Containers Daily

The Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA) has signed a five-year agreement with MES Logistics to transport up to 300 containers daily from the Tema Port to the Kpone Industrial Area through a combination of rail and road transport.
The Authority says the initiative forms part of government's 24-Hour Economy programme and is aimed at improving cargo movement, reducing pressure on road transport, and creating employment opportunities.
The partnership is expected to strengthen logistics operations between the port and industrial zones while supporting Ghana's ambitions to expand railway-based freight transportation.
