Israeli strikes hit Gaza shelters as displaced Palestinians face renewed escalation

Israeli strikes have intensified across Gaza, increasingly targeting makeshift tent shelters housing displaced Palestinians. In Khan Younis, one man was killed and two children injured, while a separate drone strike on a displaced persons' camp in Gaza City killed one person and wounded five others. The attacks come amid rising political tension between Hamas and Israel, after Hamas announced it was preparing to transfer authority to a new technocratic government — a move Israel dismissed as a tactic.
