Ghana could be on course for another sovereign credit rating upgrade following government's decision to settle its US$700 million Eurobond obligation ahead of schedule.

Finance and Tax Analyst, Nelson Kuagbedzi, says the payment demonstrates government's commitment to prudent debt management and sends a positive signal to international investors.

The Ministry of Finance has stated that the repayment was made through planned financing arrangements without placing undue pressure on the country's foreign exchange reserves.

Speaking to Channel One Business, Mr. Kuagbedzi explained the potential impact of the move on investor confidence, Ghana's debt sustainability, and future credit rating assessments.
