National Sports Authority Director General Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has questioned Ghana's investment in football infrastructure following concerns over the poor condition of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium pitch.
Mr. Ampofo Ankrah says Ghana has earned millions from its FIFA World Cup appearances since 2006, yet little has been invested in maintaining quality playing surfaces and improving football facilities across the country.
His comments come amid growing criticism over the methods being used to restore the Baba Yara pitch, with calls for sustainable solutions to ensure world-class football infrastructure in Ghana.
