Lawyer for Sarah Adwoa Safo, Kwame Boafo Akuffo, has dismissed claims that the reading of the will of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo automatically makes Israel Kwadwo Safo Akofena the leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission.
According to the lawyer, the section of the will being referenced only appoints Israel Kwadwo Safo Akofena as head of the Safo family and does not grant him leadership authority over the church.
Addressing a press conference on behalf of the former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Boafo Akuffo argued that Kwadwo Safo Jnr. is not the legitimate leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission, describing his installation as unlawful.
The comments come amid an ongoing dispute over succession, family authority, and leadership of the Kristo Asafo Mission following the passing of Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
