1992 Constitution Review: Cabinet Meets to Finalise Government Position

The government is expected to take a significant step toward reviewing Ghana's 1992 Constitution as Cabinet meets on Friday to finalise its position paper.
Once approved, the document will be consolidated by the Attorney General and legal counsel before being submitted, together with the Constitutional Review Committee's report, to the Constitutional Review Implementation Committee to begin the implementation process.
Government says the 1992 Constitution has served Ghana well and remains the foundation of the Fourth Republic, but believes a review is necessary to strengthen it further and ensure it remains relevant for future generations.
