Prez Mahama Announces GH¢20M Film Fund and GH¢20M Creative Arts Fund

The government has reaffirmed its commitment to developing Ghana's creative industry, announcing a combined allocation of GH¢40 million to support players in the sector.

According to President John Mahama, GH¢20 million has been allocated to the Film Fund, while another GH¢20 million has been set aside for the Creative Arts Fund this year.

The President said the investment is aimed at empowering industry players to drive growth, promote tourism, create opportunities, and strengthen Ghana's cultural identity.

He added that if the funds are effectively utilised, government will consider increasing support in subsequent budgets, as part of a broader plan to invest in the creative sector over the next three years.
