The Municipal Chief Executive for Mampong, Yakubu Issifu, says reconstruction of the Sataso Bridge is expected to be completed between August and September 2026.
Speaking to Channel One News, Mr. Issifu said work is being expedited to restore the bridge, which collapsed on June 10, and ease the burden on commuters, traders, and transport operators who rely on the route.
He said the Mampong and Ejura-Sekyedumase Assemblies are working together to address the situation, while the Kofiase–Aframso road has been reshaped to serve as an alternative route, especially during heavy rains.
Authorities say efforts are ongoing to restore the key transport link and minimise disruptions to movement and economic activities.
