Typhoon Maysak: Tornadoes, floods and landslides batter China

Chinese authorities are deploying rescue teams and emergency supplies after Typhoon Maysak triggered extreme weather. A rare tornado hit the central province of Hubei and torrential rains triggered flooding in the southern province of Guangxi. While in the western region of Gansu, emergency workers are scrambling to save 16 people missing after a landslide. Nationwide, at least 10 people have been confirmed dead and hundreds injured. Tens of thousands are under evacuation orders.
