US President Donald Trump admitted he called FIFA's chief Gianni Infantino after US striker Folarin Balogun's red card saw him suspended from playing the next World Cup match against Belgium. A red card normally means an automatic one-game suspension – but FIFA has allowed Balogun to play in Monday's match against Belgium. Critics have accused FIFA of giving in to political meddling.
