Coordinated rebel attacks pressure Mali’s junta | DW News

Jihadists linked to Al-Qaeda and Tuareg rebel separatists carried out a wave of coordinated assaults across Mali, piling further pressure on the military junta to make good on its promises of security. The rebels attacked several key towns in the north and center, as well as one of the country's largest prisons, located a few dozen kilometers (miles) south of the capital.
