Shipping returns to strait of Hormuz after US-Iran ceasefire.
Commercial shipping is gradually returning to the Strait of Hormuz following a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, but traffic remains below pre-conflict levels.
The UK and France say Oman has agreed to work with them to help ensure the strategic waterway remains open. During the conflict, naval escorts and altered shipping routes were used to reduce security risks. Analysts say confidence is slowly returning, but warn that uncertainty over the Strait's long-term security continues to pose risks to global trade and energy markets.
