The government has announced the implementation of free education for learners with special needs and disabilities across Ghana.

Speaking in Parliament, Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu disclosed that GH¢100 million has been allocated under the amended GETFund Act to fund the programme and strengthen special needs education nationwide.

The initiative is expected to improve access to quality education for children with disabilities while promoting inclusive learning and reducing financial barriers for families.

The funding marks a significant step in the government's efforts to ensure equitable education for all learners across the country.
