The Literacy Challenge 2026 has officially been launched by Channel One TV and Citi FM, with a strong focus on promoting literacy, critical thinking, and academic excellence among pre-secondary school students across Ghana.

Chief Examiner Anis Haffar emphasized the growing importance of nurturing critical thinking skills, especially as Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies continue to reshape education and the future of work.

The initiative aims to equip young learners with the intellectual tools needed to adapt, innovate, and thrive in a rapidly changing global environment.

Organizers say the competition will also help identify and nurture academic talent across the country.
