Benjamin Franklin reimagined as America’s first ROCK STAR in new musical
A new musical playing in Philadelphia is reimagining Benjamin Franklin like you've never seen him before just in time for America's 250th. 'The Sound of America' casts Franklin as a struggling teenage musician, inventor, and runaway printer who forms a band with his friends in Philadelphia. The young Franklin accidentally unlocks the 'power of electric rock n' roll' after a lightning strike changes everything. Randal Lane, the Chief Content Officer at Forbes, helped create and develop the show, he joins Morning Joe to share what inspired him to create a version of the founding father that rocks.
