Katharine Pittman is an historical interpreter who has been portraying Martha Washington in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, for a decade. Ahead of the United States of America's 250th anniversary, CNN visited Pittman while she was getting ready in 18th century garb to hear how Washington was able to exert influence as the wife of the country's first president.
