The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has announced an increase in the daily feeding grant for students in special schools from GH¢8 to GH¢15.

According to the minister, the adjustment is part of government's broader efforts to improve the welfare of learners with special needs and disabilities across the country.

The initiative complements ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening inclusive education, expanding access, and ensuring better support systems for vulnerable learners.

The announcement follows the government's allocation of funds under the amended GETFund Act to enhance special education delivery nationwide.
