US homeland security chief defends visa restriction on Iran World Cup team
U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin defended visa and travel restrictions placed on members of Iran's World Cup team.
The U.S. official said, "If there was any country we weren't going to allow in here, Iran would probably be the reason why we wouldn't allow them in here."
Mullin added that U.S. authorities still worked with FIFA to clear as many Iranian delegates as possible.
