Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, has called for stronger collaboration among financial sector regulators, arguing that emerging sustainability and climate-related risks can no longer be addressed by institutions working in isolation.
Speaking at the launch of the Ghana Sustainable Finance Roadmap in Accra, Dr. Asiama said that although financial sector institutions operate under separate mandates, their effectiveness depends on cooperation and collective responsibility.
He stressed the need for coordinated action to strengthen resilience within Ghana's financial system in the face of climate and sustainability challenges.
