The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has visited several flood-affected communities in Accra following Monday night's heavy rainfall that caused widespread destruction.

Communities including Anyaa Sowutuom, Santa Maria, and Odawna were severely impacted, with residents suffering loss of property and displacement after intense flooding submerged homes and streets.

During his visit, Dr. Bawumia interacted with victims, assessed the level of damage, and assured residents of ongoing efforts to improve drainage systems and provide relief support.

The visit comes amid growing national concern over recurring urban flooding and calls for long-term infrastructure solutions to prevent future disasters.
