Govt Moves to Build Full Database of Persons with Disabilities in Ghana

The Volta Regional Directorate of Social Welfare is calling for the creation of a comprehensive national database of persons with disabilities (PWDs) to improve identification and ensure effective access to government support programmes.
According to the Directorate, the absence of accurate data makes it difficult to properly plan, target, and deliver social interventions to persons with disabilities across the country.
Officials believe that a reliable database will strengthen inclusion, improve service delivery, and ensure that support reaches the right beneficiaries.
