Residents of Golf City in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality have staged a protest over what they describe as the unlawful takeover of their community football park and part of the buffer zone along the Tema–Mpakadan railway line by a private developer.
According to the residents, construction has continued despite repeated appeals for the project to be halted, sparking growing tension in the community.
They also claim the situation has resulted in confrontations with individuals they describe as land guards, raising concerns about safety, public space, and the protection of community assets.
