About 900 Ghanaians living in South Africa have been moved to safe havens ahead of planned June 30 anti-immigration protests, according to Ghana's diplomatic mission.
Ghana's Ambassador to South Africa, Benjamin Quashie, says the embassy has activated emergency logistics to ensure the safety of Ghanaian nationals affected by rising xenophobic tensions.
The government is working closely with authorities to facilitate the safe evacuation and orderly repatriation of citizens who may be at risk.
