The CPC at 105: How the Party responds to social, economic, and institutional challenges

What enables a large organization to remain resilient, adaptable, and effective over the long term? In this second part of the special edition of The Hub "The CPC at 105," Wang Guan brings together Michael Dunford, emeritus professor at the School of Global Studies, University of Sussex; Xia Lu, deputy dean of the School of Marxism Studies at Xinjiang University; Zoon Ahmed Khan, research fellow at the Center for China and Globalization; and Yi Yingnan, research fellow at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China, to examine the governance experience of the Communist Party of China as it marks its 105th anniversary. The discussion explores broader questions of institutional resilience, organizational learning, and long-term governance in a rapidly changing world. Together, they explore how the CPC has addressed complex governance challenges through targeted poverty alleviation, rural revitalization, technological innovation, and long-term infrastructure development.
