15-year-old Palestinian killed during Israeli raid in Ramallah, witnesses say

A 15-year-old Palestinian boy has died after being shot during an Israeli military raid in the Ramallah area of the occupied West Bank, according to witnesses and medical officials.

Residents say Israeli forces entered several neighbourhoods before clashes broke out, during which youths threw stones. Witnesses say the teenager was shot in the chest and later died after being taken to Ramallah Government Hospital.

The incident comes amid growing concern over the number of Palestinian children killed in the occupied West Bank. Human rights organisations say children account for a significant proportion of Palestinian fatalities during Israeli military operations.

The United Nations has also raised concerns over the impact of the conflict on children, while rights groups continue to call for accountability and greater protection for civilians.

Amid grief and anger, family, friends, and residents gathered to mourn the teenager before his funeral. Al Jazeera's Nour Odeh reports
