Is China really Europe's economic problem?

Europe's economic relationship with China has entered a more complicated phase. Over the past few years, European economies have faced soaring energy costs following the Ukraine crisis, sluggish productivity growth and declining industrial competitiveness. European policymakers have raised concerns about what they describe as Chinese overcapacity, industrial subsidies and growing competition from Chinese manufacturers. But is China the real source of Europe's economic anxieties or are deeper structural challenges at play? And what will it take for Europe to regain economic dynamism in an increasingly competitive world?

Guests in this edition of Dialogue are Michele Geraci, former undersecretary of state of Ministry of Economic Development of Italy; Joel Ruet, chairman of the Bridge Tank; and Professor John Gong from the University of International Business and Economics.
