Europe heatwave: Germany sees hottest temperature on record
Germany is in the grip of an intense heatwave, with Berlin recording its highest temperature on record for the second consecutive day. As temperatures climbed above 40 degrees Celsius, police set up cooling mist stations across the city to help residents cope with the extreme heat.
The scorching conditions are part of a wider heatwave affecting much of Europe, raising concerns about public health, infrastructure and the growing impact of climate change.
Al Jazeera's Rebecca Collard reports from Berlin.
