‘We’re going to fight back’: Fired federal worker wins Democratic primary
Alissa Ellman was one of hundreds of thousands of federal workers impacted by Elon Musk's DOGE cuts. She's now choosing to fight to represent her community in New York's 24th congressional district. She'll face off against incumbent Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney in the midterms this November. She says Tenney's out to “enrich herself” and it's time “to have regular people run for office. It's not that complicated,” Ellman says. “We can offer something better.”
