Israel-Lebanon framework agreement: Many Lebanese sceptical about prospects for peace

The leader of Hezbollah, which was not involved in negotiations, has rejected the agreement, calling it a violation of Lebanese sovereignty. The group's leader Naim Qassem accused the government of making concessions to Israel. He said the framework agreement in Washington is humiliating, shameful, and a surrender of sovereignty. He goes on to say, "This agreement is null and void, and the provisions of the Iranian-American Memorandum of Understanding must be implemented."
