The Member of Parliament for Takoradi, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, has raised concerns over the potential impact of proposed increases in utility tariffs, warning that it could further stifle job creation in Ghana's manufacturing and industrial sectors.

According to him, higher electricity and utility costs could place additional financial pressure on manufacturers, discourage investment, and ultimately lead to reduced employment opportunities at a time when youth unemployment remains a major national concern.

He argues that instead of policies that increase operational costs, government should prioritize measures that support industry growth and sustain job creation.
