Mahama Visits Cape Coast Castle, Welcomed With Slavery Reenactment
President John Dramani Mahama visited Cape Coast Castle as part of his working tour of the Central Region.
During the visit, the President was welcomed with a dramatic slavery reenactment, highlighting the history of the transatlantic slave trade and the significance of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The visit forms part of government's efforts to promote Ghana's rich cultural heritage, strengthen heritage tourism, and attract more domestic and international visitors to the Central Region.
Cape Coast Castle remains one of Ghana's most important historical landmarks, drawing thousands of tourists each year to learn about the history of the transatlantic slave trade.
