Storm cancels hundreds of flights in New Zealand's capital
A powerful storm lashed central New Zealand on June 26, toppling trees, grounding flights and leaving thousands without power. MetService issued multiple severe weather warnings as a low-pressure system swept across the country. Wellington Airport said around 200 flights were canceled due to strong winds.
