Channel One TV's Middle Belt Bureau Chief, Hafiz Tijani, has reported a worsening state of road infrastructure in several parts of Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.

He recounted a recent incident in which a school bus carrying children overturned on a badly deteriorated section of road, requiring urgent intervention from community members to rescue the pupils.

According to his report, the Ejisu road has further deteriorated after contractors abandoned the project, leaving deep potholes that have now developed into hazardous “manholes,” posing serious risks to motorists and pedestrians.

Residents say the poor road conditions have increased vehicle maintenance costs and forced drivers to raise transport fares, adding to the financial burden on commuters.

Community members are calling for urgent government intervention to complete stalled projects and ensure public funds are effectively used for development.
