IFRC allocates $2 million initial emergency funding for Venezuela earthquake response

A powerful earthquake has struck Venezuela, leaving urgent humanitarian needs across affected communities. Loyce Pace, Regional Director for the Americas at the IFRC, warned that shelter remains the most urgent need. With the main international airport still closed, relief efforts now face logistical challenges in reaching affected areas.
