Sod Cut for Phase II of Sentuo Oil Refinery Project at Tema

A sod-cutting ceremony has been held to officially launch Phase II of the Sentuo Oil Refinery Project in Tema, marking a major milestone in Ghana's downstream petroleum sector.

The expansion is expected to significantly boost the country's oil refining capacity, strengthen energy security, and reduce dependence on imported refined petroleum products.

Stakeholders say the project will also create jobs and improve industrial activity within the Tema industrial enclave, positioning Ghana as a more competitive player in the regional energy market.

The Phase II development builds on earlier investments in the refinery and forms part of broader efforts to expand Ghana's petroleum infrastructure.
