China is ready to provide assistance in light of Venezuela's needs after two powerful earthquakes struck the South American nation, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Thursday in Beijing. Speaking at a regular press briefing, Guo responded to a media query about the earthquakes, both above magnitude 7, that hit Venezuela late Wednesday and caused widespread destruction.
