Army veteran Cait Conley won a contentious Democratic primary for New York's 17th Congressional District and is now set to face GOP incumbent Mike Lawler. She calls Lawler “the guy who starts the fire and then gets credit for calling the fire department.” She cites his vote for the “big beautiful bill,” which cut healthcare coverage and SNAP benefits in their district.
