Pilot’s medical emergency forces flight to divert

An Air Canada flight traveling from Newark Airport to Halifax, Nova Scotia, diverted to Boston Wednesday after the captain suffered a medical emergency in the cockpit, the airline confirmed in a statement to CNN, prompting the first officer to safely take control and land the aircraft.
