Co-host of the Citi Breakfast Show and sports analyst Godfred Akoto Boafo has shared his expectations ahead of Ghana's clash with Croatia at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, stressing that fans should stop expecting attacking football from coach Carlos Queiroz.
According to him, Queiroz's tactical approach is unlikely to change, and Ghana must adapt to the system rather than expect an open attacking class.
He explained that:
Croatia will be Ghana's biggest problem because of their technical class of play Ghana struggles against technically strong opponents Unlike England and Panama, Croatia poses a different tactical challenge The motivation factor will be missing, making Croatia more dangerous
He also noted that Panama was actually more difficult than England, as Ghana needed a result to stay alive in the group.
Godfred added that without a clear emotional or motivational trigger, Croatia becomes even more dangerous.
Edwin Kwakofi, Head of Social Media at Citi FM and Channel One TV, also assessed the game, stressing that:
