UK issues red warning for heatwave : Much of Europe seeing extremely high temperatures

Weather warnings are in place in large parts of Western Europe, as millions of people swelter in extreme summer temperatures. The UK has seen a record high temperature for June, with 36 degrees recorded in Surrey. Hundreds of schools have closed or are sending students home. Rail authorities have also advised against non-essential travel.
