Founder and President of the Design and Technology Institute (DTI), Constance Swaniker, is calling for closer integration between academic training and labour market needs to improve workforce competitiveness and productivity in Ghana.

She notes that while industry demands continue to evolve rapidly due to technological advancement and changing global trends, many academic curricula have remained largely unchanged and outdated.

According to her, this disconnect between education and industry is contributing to skills gaps that affect employability and productivity.

She is therefore urging stakeholders in education and industry to collaborate more closely to ensure training aligns with real-world job market requirements.
