Where Is the ECG Credit Probe Report? Minority Questions Delay

The Minority in Parliament is demanding the release of findings from investigations into complaints about the rapid depletion of prepaid electricity credits.

According to the caucus, four months after the probe was initiated, the outcome remains unpublished despite an earlier ten-day deadline announced by the Ministry of Energy.

Speaking to Channel One News, Collins Adomako-Mensah argued that consumers deserve clarity on the issue and called on the authorities to make the findings public.

He also urged the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission to focus more on addressing consumer complaints and service concerns rather than concentrating primarily on quarterly tariff reviews.

The issue has generated widespread concern among electricity consumers who continue to seek answers over the alleged abnormal depletion of prepaid credits.
