Otumfuo Calls for Urgent Action on KNUST Flooding Crisis

The Chancellor and Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has called on management and students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to prioritise proper waste disposal as part of efforts to address persistent flooding on campus.

Speaking at the launch of KNUST's 75th Anniversary celebrations and the unveiling of its commemorative book, the Asantehene stressed the need for collective responsibility in maintaining a clean and well-managed environment.

He further urged engineers and professionals within the university to apply their expertise in developing lasting solutions to the recurring flooding challenges affecting the campus.

The call forms part of broader efforts to improve environmental management and infrastructure resilience within the university community.
