Reduced hours and 'climate leave': How Spain has adapted to heatwaves

As one of Europe's southern-most nations, Spain is no stranger to extreme heat. So how does it manage? Following devastating floods in 2024, the country has inaugurated a number of measures aimed at reducing the impact of heatwaves on its workforce, from adapting working hours, to even providing a maximum four days of paid leave for climate related difficulties.
