4 Million Pupils Benefiting from School Feeding Programme Nationwide

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has disclosed that the School Feeding Programme currently covers about four million pupils across Ghana.

According to her, the programme is being implemented in approximately 12,000 public basic schools nationwide, making it one of the largest social protection interventions in the education sector.

She noted that the initiative continues to play a key role in improving school attendance, nutrition, and learning outcomes for children across the country.

The government says it remains committed to strengthening the programme to ensure more pupils benefit from nutritious meals in schools.
