Makola Market Redevelopment Project Gets Support from Traders’ Leader

The President of the Greater Accra Market Association, Mercy Naa Afrowa NeeDjan, has expressed strong support for the Accra Metropolitan Assembly's (AMA) Makola Market Redevelopment Project.

Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, she described the initiative as a bold step towards creating a modern, safe, and thriving trading environment for traders.

She noted that the redevelopment will improve business activities, enhance safety, and provide better facilities for both traders and customers.

However, reactions among traders remain divided. While some have welcomed the project, others say they are not fully aware of its details and therefore cannot fully support it.

The AMA project continues to generate public debate as stakeholders await further details on implementation.
