Mahama Ayariga Calls for Job Quota Law for Persons with Disabilities
Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga is calling for the enactment of legislation to make it mandatory for institutions, factories, and agencies to reserve a quota of jobs for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
Speaking during a statement commemorating the occasion, he said such a policy would help reduce unemployment among PWDs and promote greater inclusion in the workforce.
He emphasised that stronger legal backing is needed to ensure equal access to employment opportunities and to improve social and economic participation for persons living with disabilities.
