88 Unsafe Buildings Identified in Sekondi-Takoradi – NADMO Begins Demolition Plan | Ghana News

The Sekondi-Takoradi office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (National Disaster Management Organisation) has announced that the Zenith Hotel building in Takoradi will be the first structure to be demolished under its planned demolition exercise targeting unsafe buildings.

According to officials, a total of 88 structurally unsafe buildings have been identified across the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis following detailed safety assessments.

Metro Director Alhaji Abubakar Deen stated that the demolition exercise is expected to begin before July, as final processes and preparations are being completed.

The initiative forms part of efforts to reduce risks posed by weak structures and improve public safety in the metropolis.
