Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has accused President John Dramani Mahama of discrimination following an announcement regarding a planned meeting between the President and the NDC caucus in Parliament.

He argued that discussions concerning the welfare of Members of Parliament should be inclusive of both Majority and Minority caucuses, as has been the practice in previous administrations.

The concerns were raised in response to remarks by Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga about the planned engagement.

Afenyo-Markin described the arrangement as unfair, sparking debate on the floor of Parliament over inclusivity, parliamentary welfare, and political balance in decision-making.
